Ingredient Spotlight: Olive Oil

You've probably used olive oil while cooking, but did you know it's been used in soap and cosmetics for a long time?

Olive Oil is actually my most used ingredient. You'll find it in ALL of my soap! It makes the soap moisturizing and helps create a creamy lather. 

Though I add other oils to my soap, there is a kind that uses olive as it's only oil. Perhaps you've heard of it? It's called Castile Soap and is known for being extremely gentle on the skin. I haven't tried my hand at Castile yet, though maybe I will one day.
